Cable run properly, terminated properly, labelled properly
We plan routes before we drill. Lofts, floor voids, chimney breasts, existing aerial and satellite runs and service risers all give us a way through, and reusing an existing route is nearly always better than cutting a new one in a period house.
Points are terminated onto proper faceplates and, where there is more than a handful, brought back to a patch panel in a small cabinet so the whole thing can be understood in a year's time. Every run is tested and labelled at both ends.
It also underpins everything else we fit. Access points, cameras, door entry panels, TV points and streaming boxes all behave better on cable, and doing them together means one set of routes and one tidy finish instead of three.

Will you have to lift my floorboards?
Sometimes, and we say so beforehand. Often the loft, an existing riser or a previous aerial route avoids it altogether.
Cat6 or Cat5e?
We fit Cat6 as standard. The cost difference is small and it leaves headroom for faster connections later.
Can you cable a flat in a mansion block?
Yes, though external and communal routes may need the freeholder's agreement. We will tell you what is likely to be needed.
Do I need a cabinet?
For two or three points, no. Beyond that a small cabinet keeps things tidy, quiet and easy to work on.
Can you cable for a garden office?
Yes — usually an external-grade or armoured run, with proper protection at both ends.
