Home WiFi installation in Hampstead and North London

Most WiFi complaints in this part of London are not about the broadband — they are about the building. Solid Victorian brick, lath and plaster, chimney breasts and basement conversions all swallow signal, and one router by the front door was never going to cover four floors.

  • Signal survey room by room
  • Wired backhaul where possible
  • No guesswork extenders

Typical coverage we design for

North & North West London

Fix the coverage, not just the router

We start by measuring. A quick survey shows the actual signal strength and interference level in every room, on both bands, including the loft conversion and the garden office everyone forgets. That tells us whether you need better placement, one extra access point, or a proper multi-point system.

Wherever a cable can be run, we run one. A wired access point on the top floor will always beat a wireless repeater fighting through two brick walls, and we are already comfortable running discreet cable through lofts, risers and existing aerial routes because that is what we do every day.

You keep your existing broadband and provider. We work with the line you have, use your own router or better hardware if it makes sense, then hand over one network name that follows you around the house instead of three you have to choose between.

What the job includes

What a WiFi visit includes

Room-by-room survey

Real readings for each floor, plus loft, basement and garden, so recommendations are based on measurements.

Interference check

We look at which channels your neighbours are crowding — a common cause of slow evenings in mansion blocks.

Sensible placement

Routers moved out of cupboards and off floors, away from metal, mirrors and boilers.

Discreet cabling

Ethernet runs clipped tidily through lofts and existing routes, not draped along skirting.

One seamless network

Single name and password across the house, with devices handing over as you move.

Handover and testing

Speed and coverage retested in the rooms that mattered to you before we leave.

How it works

Home WiFi installation: from your first message to a finished job

  1. 01

    WhatsApp the problem

Tell us which rooms drop out and roughly how big the house is.

  2. 02

    Survey

We measure coverage and interference and explain what is actually causing it.

  3. 03

    Fixed quote

You get the options — placement only, one access point, or a full system — with prices before we start.

  4. 04

    Install and test

Fitted, labelled and retested with you in the rooms that were failing.

Questions we get asked

Home WiFi installation — the details

Will faster broadband fix my WiFi?

Usually not. If the signal cannot get through the walls, a faster line just means the same weak coverage. We measure first so you do not pay for an upgrade that changes nothing.

Do plug-in extenders work?

Rarely well. They halve throughput and often create a second weak network. A wired access point costs a little more and behaves far better.

Can you cover a garden office or studio?

Yes — usually with an external-grade access point or a buried or clipped cable run, depending on the distance and what is in the way.

Do I have to change provider?

No. We work with whatever broadband you already have.

Can you cover a basement conversion?

Yes. Basements are one of the most common problems here, and they almost always need a cabled access point rather than wireless.
