The work the provider's standard install skips
Standard installs are designed to be quick. Cable gets clipped across the front of the house, the dish goes wherever is fastest to reach, and anything awkward gets declined. We come at it from the other direction: choose the discreet mounting point, hide the cable, and take the time to peak the alignment.
We also handle the jobs that come up years later. Moving a dish because of an extension or a new neighbouring building. Re-cabling to feed a second receiver or a recorder with two tuners. Replacing a corroded quad LNB. Swapping a failed multiswitch in a block. Setting up a box after a house move so the recordings and the tuning are right.
If you want to leave a subscription behind, Freesat and Freeview give you a large amount of television for nothing beyond the licence. We'll tell you honestly what you would keep and what you would lose, and set up whichever route you choose.

Sky & Freesat set-up — the details
Are you connected to Sky?
No — we're an independent local firm. We install, repair and re-cable the dish and aerial side of things, but any subscription or account matter goes through the provider.
Can you move my dish somewhere less obvious?
Usually yes, provided the new position keeps a clear southern sightline. Rear walls, side returns and chimney mounts are the common alternatives.
What do I lose by moving to Freesat or Freeview?
You keep the main free-to-air channels and lose the paid ones. We'll go through what you actually watch before you decide, rather than pushing you either way.
My recorder only records one channel at a time. Why?
Almost always because only one cable was run to a twin-tuner box. A second run from a quad LNB or multiswitch fixes it.
Can you set up a box I bought myself?
Yes. We'll install it, cable it, tune it and make sure it works with your aerial or dish rather than leaving you with a manual.
